I'll be glad to say goodbye to this year. What a tough one for me! I still do not know what's real when it comes to romantic thoughts, but I'm perfectly rational about everything else. What dose of abilify are you taking now? I'm sticking with it as it as less side effects than other meds. Undone.

I bet it feels good not to feel drugged for a change. I guess I would avoid those men you are attracted to as much as possible. Be alert for general signs of worsening. Before I had that bad event last year I was irritable. This was the main sign of impending trouble. Given the nature of this disorder, I think you have legitimate concerns, rather than insecurities about how to handle atttraction. I wish we could hear more from other people with this disorder.

I too, have heard that vulnerability during the first few months is the highest. I actually did very well during that time. It wasn't until I had been off the medication for about a year when I became delusional again. It came back with a vengeance. But I don't want to discourage you. Maybe these medications are best used periodically. I don't know. I'm still delusional from time to time. The medication prevents me from having racing thoughts. It is very important to have a strong support team. My husband and mother have been wonderful. I like my doctor and I found a counselor that I like and see on occasion. It sounds like you have a good support team as well. Write to me any time. Undone
