my family member who is dd initially believed something was wrong with her thinking and questioned her thoughts, but as the illness progressed, she became convinced that the delusions were real and quit questioning them. i've seen several post of individuals on this forum questioning their thinking, asking other forum members if the thoughts they are having are consistent with delusional disorder. if you have concerns, finding a professional who deals with delusional disorder is imperative! and i know that can be no easy feat! wishing you the best.

I am not sure if I had delusional disorder years ago. But when I woke up in the morning I had a feeling that all I think is nothing but non-sense. But after sometimes I started to believe them again.

I agree w/Alice. When I first got sick, I started thinking that all the people in my community knew me and knew about my life. Then it blew up to thinking that there were cameras/microphones in my house and that's how they knew. I stopped and tried to reality check my self all the time but as I got worse, I kept getting what I thought were confirmations of the delusion being real. Hearing bits and pieces of conversations that I thought were about me, people smiling at me and I thought they were laughing at me ect. Your mind twists things and you see things in nothing and make it something that supports the blossoming delusion.
