Abilify

I have delusional disorder and i am taking risperdal, i am wondering if i can switch to Abilify . It seems that abilify is given to schizophrenic patients, but i never heard that patients with delusional disorder can take abilify.

Talk with your psychiatrist. I've heard of lots of people with delusional disorder taking all sorts of medications in the atypical antipsychotic class of medication. You should try to find a medication that is good for you.

I've had difficulty concentrating and akesthesia with some mental health meds, but currently am having a good fit with the antipsychotic I'm on. Eventually I'll probably switch to one that doesn't cause as much weight gain. But if things are good, why switch?
