Down...

Postby Gamer » Thu Apr 05, 2012 2:05 am

After several weeks of feeling fine, I am crashing yet again. Today when I got off work I was brainstorming a flash game I wanted to program until all of a sudden I started feeling teary and anxious. (identified trigger? the theme of the game was insanity) They say it is a roller coaster but I think it is more of a steamroller with me at the bottom. I am sick of this ride and am about ready to give up.

Sorry for the negativity. Just needed to vent. Hopefully I'll be better tomorrow.

It's okay to vent about yourself. Especially if it helps you get to the bottom of why you feel the way you do. Maybe there's something about what was happening in the game in your imagination at that moment that triggered you. You're probably a lot closer than I am to finding out your triggers.

Thanks DITL. Sorry for the delayed response. I have been rather down lately and unmotivated to even post. I feel better today but still a little anxious.

Too bad, and all this time I thought I was "cured", lol. I guess I have to accept the fact that these episodes are inevitable.

PS: I haven't touched the game, or even tried to program anything else, since my initial breakdown. I'm not sure if this is a healthy coping mechanism, but I probably need a break anyway.
