Who diagnosed you? Are you still in contact with that doctor? If so, contact him or her right away and explain your situation.
Or have you been in therapy? Contact your therapist or psychologist very soon.
If necessary, contact a mental health treatment center and ask for the next available appointment.
You have a lot of good things going for you if you've been able to monitor your own condition and become aware of it developing into something worse. You have a better chance of doing something to get it back under control before it wrecks you. I hope things turn out okay.

...bad, bad cyclothymia is a contradiction in terms. don't get me wrong there is plenty to complain about this illness, but the ups and downs are usually not that severe thus if they are for you, then they have misdiagnosed you. It would not be the first or last time. Get a second opinion. Usually cyclothymia is not even medicated. I have had it all my life and it gave my life some twists and turns but generally speaking it was manageable. At my older age with a lot of stress and spiritual aspirations I finally broke down. It is possible that cyclothymia turns into BP 1 or 2 but usually if managed it won't.
