Hey, so I'm 16 and I know I definitely do not have any mental illnesses, but sometimes, like all people, I have bad days and I get really mad and upset. Usually when this happens I start crying a lot, and sometimes I get so mad that I find myself biting down hard on my hands and clawing at my hands and arms. I do it hard enough to leave marks that last a few days, but not enough to ever draw blood or anything. I guess ive always not considered or self harm because self harm is really serious and I've never left any permanent damage so I don't consider it serious. I'm really confused about this, does everyone do it from time to time? I want to tell my friends but I'm scared they'll think I'm being dramatic because some of them have real mental health issues, not like me. Sorry for the long read there I'm just really confused and alone on this one. Thanks to anyone that read this!

I would say, if you do anything that harms you in anyway. Clawing at your arms, drinking heavily and the list goes on forever. Is considered self harm.
If you feel you would want someone to talk to about whatever you are struggling with, you should consider contacting whatever its called in your country that takes care of mental health for youths.
Because, I would consider crying alot and struggling with life at 16 is not the standard, everyone feels bad, but.. Its hard to tell, I was struggling at 16 aswell and ye... there is always help to get if you want it.
