Could this happen?

Could this really happen?
Being split when we was 3, and then hypnotized and not remember, then people, access some alters (insider people), and try to make them remember, but we have feelings, but hardly any memories, and if we do have memories, could they feel like they were foggy and some how made up?
if a person was to actually rehypnotize us, could we remember all or most of the memories that would have been 'forgotten' since age 3? ( abuse and programming?) On that note, could programming be activated counsously, yet non of us remember what was done to us to make us that way?
