Newbie, Just Diagnosed with Conversion Disorder

Hi there,

I'm Dan, from the UK, and was diagnosed with CD just 2 days ago. I'm struggling with what to think or do, I can find very little info on it and what I can find seems to suggest that it is all put on but I know my symptoms are very real and I am not making them up.

The diagnosis was made by a neurologist after a hospital stay of a week and a half due to me having seizures and being unable to walk. Now I and a few other people thought I might have MS and I still think this personally.

Can anyone help or offer any advice at all?

Yeah, I'd definetly(sP) never can spell that: get a second or third opinion. You may have both, you may have neither.

The idea behind lablling people is to find the tx you need for that dx. It is hard at first to digest for some. Others wait a life time to know what the truth is, no matter what it is.....it's better than not knowing.

Yes I have gone from one extreme to the other - a few months ago I was burying my head in the sand and hoping it would all just go away but now want to know what is going on with my body and how to control it.
