Teen boot camps, abuse called therapy

This is how the Marine Corps makes the best combat soldiers in the world out of puerile teenaged boys. It may not look like it, but these boys are killers. When they are unleashed upon the enemies of the United States, they are relentless. They will carry out their orders NO MATTER WHAT. It may seem to some people that the training to which they submit is cruel and heartless. This is not the case. These boys will be sent to places of unimaginable danger. The harsher their training, the better their chances of survival, and the better their chances of successfully carrying out their mission. They are taught from T-1, "The mission comes first. Before me, before you, before your family, before everything. DO. NOT. FAIL."
They put everything on the line to defend our country. We must respect that, and we should be very, very reluctant to commit them to combat unless it is absolutely necessary.

That's pretty much the way it is. Those that do not assimilate are dropped and discharged "for the good of the Corps." They say "The change is forever." They aren't kidding, and that statement is 100% true.

Madjoe, you are 100% correct. Not only are Marine recruits assimilated into the Corps, not only do they obey orders with an extremely high rate of accuracy and dedication, they will willingly carry out orders in combat that are often a mortal threat to their lives.

Some people believe that this may have been true in previous generations, but in "the modern world" it's no longer true. This is not correct. The Second Battle of Fallujah, during the Iraq War was as vicious as any World War II battle. It was brutal house-to-house fighting, and the men who fought it deserve every bit as much respect as the men who attacked Normandy on D-Day or who fought at the Battle of the Bulge.

Marines are an elite. They are normal men who have been trained to do what the average civilian will not or cannot do. Think of them as America's attack dogs. When the bad guys arrive at your house to harm you, you want your German Shepherd to transform himself from your beloved family pet into an ass-kicking, eat-them-alive protection dog. This is the Marine Corps. They sit patiently in America's back yard, waiting for the order to rip an intruder to shreds.

Great advert for the marines. Young thrill seekers who might otherwise end up in crime are better off serving their country.

I can't see how forcing someone to do this can produce anything but resenment and similar angry reactions. I especially don't think this is good for someone with CD , where the type of experiences /environment/upbringing play a major part in whether or not the sufferer will go on to develop aspd and likely cause harm to others (which doesn't always necessarily occur for those who have a stable / positive upbringing)
