Hello, I have been someone who has lied since I was about thirteen years old. It all started when I was in high school which I hated from the beginning as the discipline was more important that the learning plus the discipline at home was also a problem, which left me with nowhere to go and I started to lie about just about everything to save my skin. As I got older the lying kept happening and got more intense and it became the normal way of life. In relationships, I found it hard to say things as they were. I had to make up stories from small things to big things. I never really stopped and thought about what this was doing to my relationships and if I was confronted with questions, I was always able to lie even more to get out of these situations. I have been in a relationship for over forty years with the same person and have continued to be dishonest. Recently things have come to a head and I am now trying to think and behave in a different way and I need and am seeking help.
