Almost lost it all.

Hi, I'm new to the Forum. Dishonest Abe here. While lying has always been a part of my life, it has really gotten out of hand in the last six months. I was having problems in my relationship and reached out to my Ex. Not the brightest idea I've ever had. I unwisely told her I was single and we rekindled. Now here's where it gets crazy. I lived with my g/f in New York, the Ex lives in Florida. So after a few conversations and many, many texts I planned a secret rondezvous in Florida. Told the girlfriend I was going to visit my Ex's son (the same ex g/f. I had previously had a pretty strong relationship with her sons, which my current g/f respected).Went on to tell her that my Ex wouldn't be around while I was down there, b/c she was away on vacation with her b/f. Still with me??!! Somehow she bought it. Now I'm off to Fla. Get down there, reconnect with my Ex, after four years. We had a great time together. Nothing sexual, I hung with the kids, visited with the her parents, Chilis, thrift shops...We had a great time and I flew back to NY. From late December 2015 til May 2016, I embarked on 4 trips to Florida. Each one more amazing than the last. And with each trip, the lies became more elaborate. One son was graduating from a program, another time I told her the Ex was in Europe. Well it was all fun & games until one night I fell asleep and the phone went off. The g/f saw the text and all hell broke loose!! I had been lying to both women and hurt them both deeply. The g/f decided to stick with me and we're working things out with therapy and Forums like this one. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
