HELP!!!

I keep lieing and cannot control it. I never lied before up until I reached a certain age and have no idea why I lie. when I lie it seems to be about things in my family. I told people I was an alcoholic. (I drink it but don't drink excessively) I had told people I attend AA meetings and I don't do that. How can I fix this lieing problem I have? I have been through counseling and that does not seem to help. If you have any advice or how I can stop myself I would appreciate it.
