"Has anyone heard of seizures caused by trauma/stress? Half the doctors say I'm epileptic. The other half say it's all in my head."
Well, this is my own speculation and personal experience; I am not a doctor.
First, I would say to have a seizure starts with an imbalance in the brain.
It's the stress that can trigger them, psyching yourself out.
I can build anxiety all the way until I put myself in a partial seizure.
A trauma...in meaning a specific event or action that you associate with having a seizure..? Anxiety enflames this...it's about breathing and trying to stay HERE in this reality that can help deter.
I've gone through MRIs, cats scans, sleep studies, EEGs.
I currently take Lamotigine to help control my seizures.
I would go through an MRI, EEG, and cat scan and take it from there.
