Friend in trouble.

Postby Mr.L » Fri Mar 09, 2007 1:03 am

This is a **Quote** From my friend:

"My dad has threatened to beat me with the belt lately. The worse he has ever done was spank me with my pants down. I'm getting kind of scared, and I did something I shouldn't have yesterday. If he finds out, I know he's going to beat me. Hard. I don't know what to do...I don't want to report him, because then I'd have to go under a witness protection thingy and I'd have to leave all my friends and go far away. So now I'm really afraid but I want to stop this without having to move to somewhere.."

...He said the beatings were several years ago, so I don't think I should report it for that. In Kansas however, it isn't against the law to hit your child...Is there anything I can do? By the way he threw an acorn at this girl and she broke down hysterically, despite the fact it didn't hit her that hard, and it was on her arm. But her mom is in touch with my friend's mom, who will tell my friend's dad. I really want to help somehow.

But he told me if I told anyone, he'd deny it.

...So what should I do?

MrL,

If you and your friends are needing help NOW, Why dont you talk to your parents. Start off by asking if you can speak with out getting in trouble for something, but you as a young adult( I assume you are younger that 17) needs some guidance.

Let some adults help you and your friends. Kansas has some great recourses. I hope you and YOUR friend is safel.

red,

PS. I can understand the girl being upset having an acorn hit her. He did not have to through it at her. It could a be "school kid stuff" but better to be safe than sorry.

let us know if ya could
Luv,
red
