is it ever too late to report it even though you live in another country?

NEVER! as long as you feel it will help you, bring you releaf, then by all means spill your guts!

it might be too late for authorities to do something with it, but for you it's never too late to report. you can always have them make a notification. this way it doesn't get worked out, but your story is noted and they are aware of the situation.

good luck.

Well the problem is when the mother told me about it, she wanted me not to tell... she did report it, made a statement, I believe the 2 kids did as well, the ones that were molested. She kicked him out, then allowed him back in, and still is with him.

She believes him when he told her he ony did it when he was drunk...IF THAT IS A GODDAMN EXCUSE!!!

She told me a few months back, before Christmas.
However I'm still bothered by it, that she'd still be with the man that hurt her 2 sons. And she has 5 children all together, and a 6th on the WAY!!!!

She is in the UK a different country then me, I don't think I can do anything. :(

Look at it this way. Legally if a counselor or other health or mental health professional hears about or even suspects child abuse they are bound by law to report it.

While you may or may not be a professional, you have knowledge of a crime and I think you are trying to do the right thing here.

Thank you for your response Sean.

I'm still waiting on an email back.
I just don't want those 2 boys to get hurt again, i'm just really concerned.

I will give them as much information as I can, and hopefully they will keep it with them incase something arises again, god forbid.

bit different from what i thought the situation is. but still like sean says, you're trying to do the right thing. it like with kids. if they suspect their brother or sister is in danger, the tell their parents.

inform the kids, and keep an eye on things. if anything should happen (indead, god forbid) you can always report it to the authorities. and as far as i know, it doesn't matter that she's in a different country..

i've been in contact with a social worker in their area.
she has been investigating...
also contact me today via email to say that my concern has been justified and the children are safe...

not sure what that all means...

Dear Worried,

I APPLAUD you for finding the courage and strength to report this. You put the children's welfare and safety first. Thank you. You did the right thing. Now these children can be in a safe environment, assuming by your post that they may have been removed, and not have to grow up being subjected to abuse.
