Bullying and Sexual Assualt

Postby laughatlife » Mon Apr 11, 2005 10:46 pm

HI, so i was picked on a fair amount in my adolescence (im 21 now) There was one incident that i allways just thought of as another in a long string of bullying incidints, but now i'm like seeing it as the sexual assualt / rape that it was. Two kids who i knew didnt like me invited me to sleep over when i was 12 and in the morning sexually assualted me with a broom. I'm wondering if anyone knows any resources for this type of situation?
THanks

Dear laughatlife,

Sweetie,

What happened to you was horrendous! Have you seen a therapist to help you process it?
(That, and all the other bullying you have experienced.)

If not, you might contact your nearest rape crisis center, and ask if they can recommend a therapist who specializes in this type of trauma.

Good luck!

Hi,

I am so sorry that this has happend to you :(

If this bothers you a lot, then I really would echo what the Guest above said about trying to get into some kind of therapy to deal with this.

Good luck, and stay strong

Just reiterating the previous replies really but you should definately talk to someone about this. A therapist/counsellor would be good. Or is there anyone in your immediate circle of friends that could listen to you abou this? Perhaps there are groups available that deal with this.

You just need to get it all out....that frustration...that anger....release it all from you. What you must not do is to think that the pain might pass. It's really best to get these things out. It REALLY is best....
