I'm being bullied at school

Postby Wynncayra » Mon Sep 27, 2010 11:07 pm

I was bullied in elementary, middle, and high school. Now I'm trying to finish up my diploma at a new school, and yet again I'm getting bullied. In middle and high school, I didn't even care, but now I do, and it's really pissing me off. There's this one boy, Wess, in two of my classes who tells me to shut up, says I make everyone in the class look stupid, he gives me dirty looks, and calls me a bitch in front of everyone INCLUDING my teachers. They have done nothing, and I'm sick and tired of it. I want to confront him, but I'm not exactly sure what to say. I'm not one to take abuse from others normally, but I feel bad that I make him feel stupid because I'm enthusiastic and I'm smart. I've told my parents but they want to go "Have a talk" with him, and I don't think it will help. So what should I say to this kid to get him off my back?

One way to steal a bullies thunder is to take his power away. Be funny, light hearted. Act like you just don't get the insults. It may make him feel very foolish and want to move onto another person. (Don't insult or act smarter-they already know your smarter) Another tactic is to simply agree with them over and over.
My son is 18 and this is how he handled it: He laughed along with the bully when he tried to make fun of him. The bully said "G*d d*mn its no fun to make fun of you!".
Bullies only go for the reaction. Something you are doing is feeding what he wants for a reaction. Take that away and YOU are in control of the situation, not him.
Best Wishes!

Hi! I have been bullied alot too, and it is still going on, but what I like to do and it works pretty well, is laugh at everything that a bully says. Or just agree with them, they will stop pretty quickly. If it doesn't work, then maybe you should tell the principal. So really, Onebravegirl is right. Just know this, Ignoring DOES NOT help, if anything, it gets the bully to keep trying. Another thing I like to do is to say, "Wow aren't you cool for insulting someone? Maybe you should get a gold star" Sarcasm is just great isn't it?

And if none of those techniques work, you kick his ass. There's nothing more embarrassing than getting your ass kicked. I never had a bully screw with me after I stood up to them. The sooner the better.

ICU, in some cases violence is necessary but I don't think its the right case here. I think its best that this stays mental. But I think that violence is right when fighting for a friend or standing up for yourself.

Sometimes a fight is justified but never throw the first hit you will always be the one to go down for the fight. Oh also remember elbows, knuckels, shins, knees are the hardest part of the body. 8)

If you need help, there's a website called http://www.BeyondBullies.org where you can talk to someone your age about what you're going through. Every Wednesday night, there are confidential, online chat sessions with another teenager who can provide support and who can be there for you when you need help. The website also has advice, tips, hotlines, etc.

I was too bullied in primary school, Was 5 against me though.
They pick on anyone to make themselves feel empowered and you feel weaker. Best way to do it is just laugh, If they try beat you up, Hit the guy square on the nose and run as fast as you can.

I got bullied by a girl because i was fat and she was the "hottest one in the primary school". I found her on facebook a few months ago and the tables have turned...

Wish you best of luck with your situaution =)
