Relentless smear campaign recovery and therapy?

Postby Dascha2017 » Tue Mar 05, 2019 9:55 am

Hello
Have experienced an intense unpleasant smear campaign for over 4 years, I am resigned to leaving my area and moving forward. Have read lots of research on adult relational bullying, group behaviours etc interested if anyone has successfully left this behind and did you engage in any sort of therapy and if so what? I am past wanting to understand this revolting behaviour just healing and moving forward mine has been particularly vicious and damaging, usual nonsense accused of something but not told what it is?? and treated badly exclusion, criminal damage, social and professional harm. I spend as little time as possible in my local area to escape the bullying and have never responded. I am concerned about the damage this has done as i seem to be experiencing ptsd symptoms hyper vigilence, fear anxiety even away from it. Would be great to hear any positive recovery stories from this awful form of bullying.

Best wishes to all

I am sorry to hear, I can't really offer anything to help out. But smear campaigns are not good, and I have been through a few, and currently in one now. Some of them was just getting away from the people that are a part of it. But I don't really know any form of recovery, or stories besides leaving and surrounding yourself with good people.

Hi Sharpie 22

Thank you for your kind reply and I am sorry to hear you have experienced this very low form of bullying, I hope it is improving for you :)
Your advice is a good one and I am really lucky to have some lovely friends (most away from here) and I try to surround myself regularly with love from family & friends.
Long term I would say to anyone LEAVE some of these narcs are mentally ill and dangerous, your life & time are far too precious to waste.

Hi Dascha2017,

You are welcome. It is the same for me. But I am glad to hear that things are getting better for you! Thank you for your advice.

Hey man, I've also been a victim of smear campaigning. What I would suggest is really trying to distance yourself from these people and I find helping others who have been bullied and who have experienced similar things to me part of my recovery from the ptsd I got from bullying. Hope this helped and when we help others we are helping ourselves. Hope you feel better :)

I think that most of the comments displayed here are very telling, it would be of interest to do some research into how many of us experience theses crimes and are gaslight into services, I think it's basically entrapment, blackmail, rejection, and smearing that's clearly stated here, none of these's would classify as forms of mental illness, but actual real abuses in real-time. these are not delusions but malicious acts performed by a mob upon us unwittingly and nonconsensually.
