I've heard about this, but I've never had it happen to me before. However, the people I was talking to about it said that for them it went away once they stopped purging.

The times in the past when i purged by vomitting I would always have a puffy face afterwards. Sure, the stomach is emptied and (I presume) it sets the body to 'hibernation' mode. Muscles get less energy and therefore the muscles in your face will relax and look droopy as will muscles all over the body. Believe me, it is better to keep the food in your stomach rather than vomitting it.

Girlie I had two wonderful year bulimia free. The puffy cheeks do go away, and you'll notice your hair is healthier and you feel clearer.
