Although it's easy to say to a person with an eating disorder "eat well and excercise" you have to remember that the majority (if not all) look at themselves in the mirror or in a photo and see themselves entirely different to how someone else sees them. So before they can get to a healthy weight byt eating well and excercising they have to change their mind set and be able to see themselves how other people see them. Otherwise if they are able to excercise, eat well and get to a healthy weight...it still wont be good enough for them. If anyone else understands what i'm getting at lol :P

This thread is a year old, Amelia. I think that you took the exercise ting out of context a bit, but I do understand what angle you're coming from. The thing is, if you're bulimic, then exercising is going to end up being a further problem because you'd then start using the exercise as a form of 'purging' too.

Sorry i don't really look at how old they are.. i just have a lot of time on my hands seeing as i'm out of work and school :(
My point wasn't really about the excercise i was just really asking how a person with an eating disorder will ever be able to realise and actually see a healthy body in the mirror as it is...

But yeah i guess a bulimic person who starts excercising could turn into a chronic excerciser?

No, it's fine if you still want to reply here. I have little time to be on here but I choose to do it anyway, and it eats into my sleep time. I spend around 2 hours here each day (usually more, in fact), and two hours is generally how much less sleep I get each like. I'd like to get a standard 7 hours, but it's typically just 5. I've been doing this for the past two or so years now.
