Hi All, I hate to be here again but I'm starting to feel like I'll never be over this. I spent the last 4 months travelling around the world wth my partner. We split on returning a few weeks ago. To be honest while I was travelling I wasn't going through the binge/purge routine for the first time in nearly 5 years. He's been my best friend for years and we lived together for about the last 8 months. I didn't realise how much I relied on him, but now I feel like I'm falling apart. I don't think I've ever really learnt how to cope in a healthy way. I was learning but without his support and with the new stress I'm just back where I started. Has anyone found anything that really does help?

You might have had no urge to binge/purge while on holidays because it was a completely different environment. That's the only way so far that I have found a 'cure' for Bulimia: Getting into a new environment. I don't know what age you are or anything but, if you can, I would suggest a 'spring clean' of your life. Just, please, don't stick to doing things the way you always did them.

change, change, change... ...

Kevin.

Thank you, I just found out I'm pregnant yesterday so it appears there will be many many changes to come. I've got to admit I'm still reeling but my body isn't just mine to abuse for the next 7 months. God I'm just worried what damage could have already been done.

So, you're 2 months pregnant? I do not wish to scare you further but, as far as I'm aware, the first few months of foetal growth are the most important. If you have genuine concerns, then talk to the a doctor that handles pregnancies; and be candid about your Bulimia. You can always talk to him in confidence about it.
