Struggling with bulimia. Need help

I've been struggling with bulimia for the past 7 months and i REALLY need help. I went to my GP as soon as it started and she referred me to the eating disorders service. I have been waiting for the last 6 months and i STILL have not got an appointment with them. I have called them several times to ask whats happening and i was told that the therapist is currently on leave. I dont want to go through them anymore as they are just messing me around and im getting nowhere. I cant cope/wait any longer i need help now and its gotten a lot worse please help i dont know what to do should i see a therapist for CBT or some other therapy? I also have chronic depression and anxiety. I'm on antidepressants but not in any form of therapy

I'm not sure what kind of therapy would work best for bulimia, but if you have a look through therapists that specialise in eating disorders in your local area, that would be a really good start.

Don't cancel anything with the one the gp referred you to.. stay with them because when you finally get through their door, they'll hopefully be really helpful. but definitely do get some kind of therapy going while you wait for them xx
