Who else is having holiday anxiety????

So the holidays are approaching and this means tons of food being around. How are you all handling everything? I personally am not having Thanksgiving at my house because I just cannot handle all that food being around non stop.....I would be consistently binging on everything! Now for Christmas this year that is another matter. I always make cookies with my kids, we decorate a gingerbread house and have lots of sweets hanging around. I am very worried about all of these things.

A lot of people struggle with Thanksgiving. We had our Thanksgiving a month ago. I worried about wanting to binge as well but was surrounded by people who aren't prone to binging and ate in moderation. I sent them all home with leftovers as well to avoid the temptation to binge afterward.

For Christmas I tend to make lots of baked goods and it's hard sometimes. I'm a bit more stable now in terms of my eating disorder, so usually I can treat myself to some cookies but remember the rest are for guests or gifts to other people. It satisfies my baking craving (I LOVE to bake) and I get to have some without feeling the need to inhale it all.

So I guess the overall thing that helps me through the holidays is to remember that the sweets and food are for other people too and to make sure to never have too much of it around for long.
