my mom is suffering

My mother has been suffering from a type of psych disorder she dislikes family very much Some days she's tolerable most days she's not.When I can't deal with her I leave because if I say anything at all she will get mad and say no one loves her or does anything for her anyway. Her husband of 9 years my stepfather also realizes there is a problem everyone that is close to her knows but is afraid because we really don't know what the diagnosis is and if I tell my mother I think she has a psych disorder she will just blow things out of proportion She likes for people to look up to her and they do. She has a great job working in our county's courthouse as Chief registrar. People who don't know her personally just simply think she is "cool" I personally think it is a personality disorder but not sure I need to talk to someone who can help me evaluate her behavior.
