Is this delusional-please answer, someone.

Among many other dysfunctional behaviors, my mother has many times over the years believed she smells gas. She then goes into a state of terror and wants to run. As a kid she had me freaked out about it too. As an adult I've re-framed that irrational fear into sensible reality. My family is in a really bad place with her and she has never gotten diagnosed. I think the odor delusions are a real tip-off and insight into her mental health, but I need some feedback and support on this. Thanks.

Better take her to a therapist or psychiatrist.
