Jennifer Lawerence did a really nice BPD performance.

That's some fairy-tale BPD if there ever was any. Can I get those 2 hours back?

I have to disagree. I think it was an accurate and non-exagerated BPD.

The movie is a romantic comedie, it isn't a drama.

Becca from You're Not You. Difficult relationship with parents, low self-esteem, tendency to start things without being able to finish them or without sabotaging them, avoidance of serious romantic relationships, drinking, smoking and sex as coping mechanisms, throwing herself into projects bound to "fail" or cause her hurt or wanting things she cannot have/ love from ppl who cannot provide it. Although she handles things differently in many ways than I do, I could relate to her character very well. I'm not sure where I stand on the film over all, but I really enjoyed watching her. It can't hurt that I find the actress incredibly attractive and really liked the character's style, I suppose.

I just watched A Teacher on Netflix and related very strongly to the main female character, especially at the end. The loneliness, neediness, unraveling when faced with loss, jealousy, confusion, emptiness, proneness to totally inappropriate relationships. This woman has it all. I don't really relate to the killer that most borderline films portray, even though I do have very dark, violent thoughts much of the time.

barry egan from punch drunk love imo and also bpd combined with anxiety for some outbursts/mood changes/intense emotion for when he falls in love. Complete with overbearing nt sisters who bullied him so that also counts for childhood trauma imo

just watched 'welcome to me' (netflix). kristen wiig plays a female with bpd that wins the lottery and decides to host her own talk show.

the movie itself wasn't bad, made her more a joke, so that was disappointing. you couldn't possibly take her serious as a human being and i think that only adds to the stigma. some funny bits, though.

The character of Lisa seemed sociopathic to me. But then again, a part of me thought she was just putting on an act. The main character who was BPD seemed like a "quiet borderline" because of the lack of rage.

Susanna was most likely misdiagnosed (in the movie). I could relate to Lisa more than I could Susanna. Despite paranoid ideation and reckless behavior, Susanna really didn't express much. Angelina Jolie was definitely not a sociopath as you can tell she valued her bonds with people and showed deep emotion at the end, I believe she was so cruel as a coping mechanism when she couldn't control someone.
