Hi,

I had M.E and fibro from about 20-24 (26 now). I had CBT which helped a lot. It didn't cover my issues that I am having therapy for now as I was in denial back then. I had just come out of an abusive relationship and I felt that my body was tired and just wanted a break from fighting for years and just gave up. Looking back on it now I believe mental health and cfs/fibro are linked (not always though). It was all psychosomatic in my case, I just needed to be looked after. If you had said this to me at the time, I would have snapped your head off  But just because it is doesn't mean the physical pain is any less real.

Anyways I can relate and feel your pain (no pun intended) and it can get better. I know when you're in it feels hopeless and you'll be forever burdened with chronic pain.

I am so sorry to hear that you have been battling with fibro for so long. I couldn't imagine what you've gone through. Have doctors been any help to you? Have you seen any specialists or therapists? I was very lucky that I happened to stumble across a research study that I partook in. Otherwise I doubt I would be where I am today, all the other professionals couldn't give a damn.

I hope you've had some positive interactions with the professionals at least.

I have very sore muscles and stiff joints the worst for me also is sciatica and the bottoms of my feet ache so much i cry when i get home sometimes.

My neck and other muscles are very sensitive to touch the widespread pain leads into my arms and legs and back at times.

I know what it is like to suffer emotional and physical pain as well as fatigue from this.

thanks for replying ,,ive had physio lots, never helps, saw lots of private people, various treatments, never helped The only good thing they did was put me on a pain management class.which helped me understand that there is NOTHING they can do.Having recently been diagnosed and involved with the nhs for my mental health care,( bi polar 2 bpd ptsd and bulemia) they're just the same,,not enough money=not enough caring,.
The funny thing is I have a blessed life .im lucky in so many ways, and yet here I am suicidal
One of life's little jokes.

I have had bipolar type 2 and BPD diagnosis although i think bPDs are prone to manic depression there is not a lot of difference between the two especially for unmedicated bipolar. Just some personality traits. Its probably more BPD especially since it runs closely with PSTD ... i don't know no doctor i should not make those judgments just my own experience. And i don't know you but i get the feeling we have similar emotions and physical pains not just because we are two BPDs on the thread we have similarities with every BPD here of course and probably bipolar's too.

You can PM me anytime ... or we can email or something. My pains have gotten in the way of being healthy and fit to get through the day it adds to depression and keeps me in a very negative, lazy-like attitude because of the fatigue and pains.
Its unfair if we complain we are accused of hypochondria, or to treatment we are unable to find affordable and proper .... and we can't be taking pain killers for life.

I feel a lot of deep sympathy and empathy for you :( You deserve relief. I do know that not a day goes by where a true fibromylgia suffer does not feel any form of pain from minor to major. Yes stress is related to it.
I guess BPD sufferers could be prone to it then.

Hope you get some relief xxx

Yes I'm struggling to differentiate between what's supposed to be bipolar and what's bpd, I had a doc tell me no other diagnosis matters when u have bpd because it's so complex all other disorders are just umbrellered by it!!! Kinda made sense,,
Watch out with the drugs and bulemia,m8,,my life has also been a battle with both,(although I never saw the dugs as a battle really  but , here at 43, I have NO back teeth ,all removed ?rotten (dental phobic also)also the valve in my stomach doesn't shut anymore which means I now have ,severe IBS and gastric reflux disease ,which has cause me throat problems,,trouble swallowing, and it's burned the entrance to my lungs which has left me with asthma( I thought it was the IMMENSE amount of weed I smoke :-)) I'm ###$ .the bulemia and drug use sneaks up on you,it's accumulative ..and ya don't notice it till your paying the price.
Hope you find a way to ###$ off your demons before you get to my age,
To find out now what's going on makes me feel like I wasted a lot of time,
Make it your mission to concentrate on you ,
Get well,,before u find yourself half way through thinking WTF
Don't drift :-) much luck wished for you x
