The CO job may take issue with being BPD, but I doubt the paramedic one would. As a bull, you have to be able to stay calm and in control all of the time, something we're not particularly good at. Borderlines typically perform well in supportive roles, so being a paramedic may well be the perfect job! I'm not saying not to go for the CO, if you want it, but your mental state may affect getting the job.

Thing is my disorder only really effects relationships mostly I am fine with people who aren't my partner or very close friends. I managed nursing fine with no problems whilst working. Just you have occupational health screening and I'm not sure they would allow me to apply

Hi there,

I don't really have an answer for your question but i too am a nurse. I have only just been diagnosed with bpd traits and a friend has told me that this may affect me going back to work .... did your employers know about your bpd when you were a nurse?? Please dont feel you have to answer im just interested to know about your experience.

How did your interview go??

Oh i know how you feel once i can have a routine and been shown the right ways to do things but i change my mind with life and careers constantly, doubt myself, don't know how or what to do i feel i am doomed to not achieve or reach full potential i may have once had.
Also the fact nobody loves me for me and i feel even more insecure with my day to day job that is so basic and i have nothing to be proud of and work towards just money to live and even that i spend excessively and need to have my parents help.

@rebba87....

I know what you mean I do that all the time, I graduated in administration and started working... 3 months in I was doubting myself and my skills, thought everyone hated me and I hated them back it was this crazy storm in my head and damn me because it was a flexible schedule nice good pay full benefits and I managed to go nuts in a place where everyone is so normal (offices) and now I'm on sick leave. I also graduated in esthetics in 2008 and worked a couple months... Same exact thing happend. Went nuts and was fired. Ugh.

Honestly for me bpd really screws me when it comes to work/careers. I just can't deal with having ye same job, the routine, I'm always paranoid and think the worst of people, then I go through depressions and miss work all the time. Then I'm soooo hyper I become bothersome for coworkers. Just.... Ugh!!!

Good luck to you I wish that you find a career/job and stick to it, I know I can't :(
