What helps you?

Postby Tina » Tue Oct 04, 2005 9:48 pm

I know that there are good days and bad days, and the bad days can be so hard to get through.

What do you do to help yourself get through those days and what do you think helps you over the long term?

Is there something that someone you are close to or who loves you does to help or that you can count on to help you feel better?

We are trying to help our daughter get through a very rough time that goes back about 3 months and we are trying to figure out how to help her fill in the hole she feels like she has always had. I know we can't fix the lonliness and the emptiness she says she has always felt overnight, but we would like to do what we can. The problem is she is so young and doesn't really understand why she feels it or what will help.

I thought if I could get some ideas from other people who feel that feeling about what helps, even for a short time, I could help her.

Thanks,
Tina

My mom and dad are both deceased. I believe they are my guardian angels; that they know now what I'm going through and are keeping me safe.
