Chatroom for Borderlines & Non Borderlines

Postby PoisonOakley » Sun Aug 14, 2005 7:14 am

Hi,

I am a borderline and find it hard to talk to people about BPD apart from my family and therapist. I find it really comforting to know others have BPD and I think to share experiences may help us all and also to create a support base for those who feel alone. This phpbb forum is great but some of us need instant gratification and want that way of communicating by way of a chatroom, but before I do such a thing, I want to see if people would actually use it.

I agree with you completely. I too have borderline and sometimes I would like to talk to others who also have it, I feel like I'm the only one sometimes. I voted for the option 3.

Oakley,

I have just visited your borderline chatroom but unfortunley it was empty and I am going to bed shortly.

But yes, I would like to be able to use a chat room to talk to other borderlines, I guess the key would be to get the word out to another people who need such a resource. I am in the process of creating my own support forums and would be happy to provide a link to your chat room.

Take care.

Hello SanityFreeZone :D

Thank you for that post. I think resources like this are greatly helpful and appreciated. I see myself as a borderline able to provide help to myself and others. Seeing the problem was my greatest revelation, now I'm taking action and I want to involve the people who also suffer from the same thing. Good luck with your support forum.

the chatroom I build will still be developed and yes I will need to get word out. I am also thinking of including a phpbb specifically for borderlines, as this psychforum deals with many mental issues and which of course I am only interested in borderline. I think specializing in one part makes it easier and specialized so people know what they are getting when they come to my website.

Lets wait and see.

Regards
Ramon

what about non-BPD's?

Postby Northern Lights » Fri Sep 23, 2005 9:38 am

I can't help but feel, after my experiences with someone with
the "disease" called BPD that a chat room for non-borderlines
and so called Borderlines is imperative for, society and
ourselves to understand this disease, and how to assist in recovery
and healing of "ourselves", for mental illness effects not just the recipient of the disease but also, the people around the unfortunate one...I should know...I have apologized for my past behaviors when I was ill..
with other tags, Clinical depression and complex PTSD "splits"...
To separate our illness's is indeed "splitting"...mental illness is just that...mental illness...yes I am all for a chat room...
