I'm currently between pdocs, but I found that the combination of Seroquel and Prozac worked well for me before I moved and got a new doc that started messing with my meds. I never went above 25 mg of Seroquel because it's very sedating. It's a great alternative to Ambien as a sleep aid (Ambien aggravates my depression and irritability). I tried to stop taking Seroquel at one point because it gives me munchies, but I noticed that intrusive thoughts and angry outbursts came back. Right now I feel terrible because my last doctor was convinced I'm bipolar and put me on Lamictal. I had an allergic reaction and I haven't felt right since. He also took me off of Adderall (I also have ADD), so I'm going through withdrawal. My brain is not happy.
There's a good website that allows people to rate medications depending on what their diagnosis is. It's important to take individual stories about meds with a grain of salt because everybody is so different. It always trips me out when people say things like "This drug should be banned!" just because they had severe side effects. Here's the page about Prozac and BPD:

For some BPD patients, mood stabilizers like Lithium or Lamictal help, but there has been more clinical evidence that support the use antipsychotics for BPD. Antipsychotics like Seroquel can cause weight gain, high blood sugar, high cholesterol and other problems, but this is less likely in low doses.
Good luck everyone. Finding the right meds is so difficult, but it's well worth the effort.
