Books about BPD

Have any of you read I hate you... don't leave me? What did you think of it?

Any other books you'd recommend?

Sorry, but we cannot concentrate long enough to read really long replies or threads so don't think we're being rude if we don't.

I recently finished "I Hate You, Don't Leave Me". It was a little annoying during a few parts where they drew out analogies far too long and it just ended up sounding cheesy. I'm a writer so stuff like that bothers me.

All in all, pretty good book. I'd recommend it both for those who are borderline and those who want to learn more about it. It does a pretty good job of putting the more complicated aspects of the PD in layman's terms. The organization of the book made it easy to track your reading. I didn't bother reading through the appendices because I've been reading about PDs for a long time now and didn't feel the need to clarify anything. That being said, I was surprised at how many appendices it had for the simplistic terminology it used.

I wish it had addressed the borderline audience a little more. There was a tiny paragraph directed to those with BPD. As a more general fact book than a "living with a specific disorder" book, I didn't really expect anything different.

I haven't read any other books directly specifically to BPD recently but if I remember any, I'll post about them.

I have to say I haven't read that book. Right now I'm reading The Search for the Real Self: Unmasking the Personality Disorders of Our Age by James F Masterson. It's pretty good at laying out what exactly BPD is and where it stems from. It explains it from a psychological standpoint which I like, most of what I read on the interenet about BPD is solely from a relational standpoint, like what behaviors they exhibit and how best to react.
