advice?

I honestly think that I may have BPD. I know that I need to go to a therapist (and have an idea of who i would go to) but I do not know how to bring it up to my mother, or if i could even communicate with a therapist. I'm just doubting my ability to talk to someone I do not trust.

Does your mother need to know?
If the person you have in mind is a professional (look for degrees, certification, etc.) they must abide by Codes of Ethics that ensure patient confidentiality. Knowing that what you say stays in the room is a big part of being able to trust the therapist. The only times they might contact another person in regard to your case is if they have good reason to believe that you may physically harm yourself or someone else.
Don't know if that helps at all, but I wish the best for you, and I would really recommend talking to your family doctor or this therapist you have in mind.

If your emotions feel like they can swallow the planet, you should talk to someone, yes.
