I am panicking as to whether BPD can be passed on genetically? There is a possibility that I may be pregnant, and am scared of passing it on.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Kirsty, go have that baby and raise it with pride and confidance

... ...okay? BPD cannot be passed on genetically in the sense that you are thinking of. BPD encompasses a whole host of genes, most of which your baby will probably never get. 50% of the DNA will come from your partner, and the rest from you. Please don't worry about this, okay? Come back here in 20 years and remind me of the beautiful child you have raised.
