new to boards

Hi I am a single mother of 2 girls who are currently both 9 years old, my youngest turned 9 yesterday and my oldest will be 9 until her birthday in April, I was diagnosed in 2000 or 2001 when I applied for Social Security disability, I was diagnosed with Dysthymia, Boarderline Personality disorder and schizoid disorder, I am adopted and have found and talked to my Biological mom who was diagnosed with the same things I have except instead of schizoid disorder she has paranoia disorder. Currently I am not on any meds, I was on prozac when my girls were little because I suffered from panic attacks, I got over them and I was on Welbutrin for a while, I currently have an appointment on the 20th of this month to see someone to get on meds again, for as long as I can remember I have suffered from a phobia about throwing up and 5 or 6 years ago I was'nt feeling good and asked my mom to take me to the doctor (I don't drive myself) and after I got in the car and we went about 50 feet I almost got sick and have had a fear of riding in vehicles ever since, which is why I have not gone in to get meds before now, I thought I was going to have to ride to somewhere far away, but I found out recently that I can go right here to the local hospital to talk to someone who comes here once a week. I am happy I found these forums cause now I can talk to people who know what I am going through, my family and friends don't understand and think I am making it up.

Hi, Boojagirl! Of course you're not making it up. I'm glad you've found this place as well. I hope those meds can help you and maybe you could talk to a therapist a bit too.
