Do I contradict myself? Very well, then I contradict myself. I am large, I contain multitudes.

Hi, is the baby talk the issue or are there underlying issues? A lot of re-parenting goes on in romantic/sexual relationships. I’ve heard from social workers that gay or bi- relationships do more re-parenting because society has not allowed them to be out in the open so as a gay male you don’t have a lot of models to work from apart from your parents. Maybe you like to be childish for fun or maybe the real issue is control - you feel more in control as a child than as an adult in a close relationship. My first boyfriend with a PD loved to talk like a baby but he loves language and being silly. I found it repulsive but that is just me. He did have the emotional age of a 3-year-old but I can’t control my emotions so I’m not one up judge. Have you thought about seeing a therapist? Good luck!
