My therapist recommends that I use forums

Lol why? I get most of my interactions through the interwebs. I'm mentally a mess in person. Anyone else?

forums are less expensive

your therapist is a fraude
(or he/she want's a break from you)
they are echochamers that incourage bad behaviour and living in a bouble with out critisism

Forums are becoming very popular i have to say, and my therapist also thinks its a great idea to use forums as its a "24/7 kindof deal" and i think also that forums have saved peoples lives in one way or another right?

So i don't look at it as a negative thing, i mean what ever helps (thats how i see it)
And yes therapist are sometimes expensive and many people haven't get the funds or insurance to cover mental health issues 24/7 (imo)

I'm guessing your therapist suggested the forums as a means to connect to people or to seek support. That's my guess. The internet is good for things like that.

Did you ask them why?

I can see why they would recommend them though. Especially ones like this one.
