Anyone else have their diagnosis' status as deferred because you no longer display enough symptoms of this disorder?

Not exactly, but I don't meet enough of the criteria. However, the diagnosis is still up for debate. I was diagnosed by a locum psychiatrist and I can see why he made that diagnosis at the time, but I'm just anxious with OCD as far as I can see. My current psychiatrist is sticking with his original diagnosis of bipolar, but says he sees traits of BPD and my CPN keeps mentioning it. Maybe they are just giving me a less stigmatising diagnosis and think I really do have it? I aksed the pdoc about this and he said he wouldn't do that though.
My mental health was causing a lot of problems in my relationship when I was going through a really nasty depressive episode. I couldn't even handle having a conversation. Mr Shark didn't understand that this was just depression. I voiced my concerns to the locum psychiatrist and he said it was a fear of abandonment. Putting up with a severely depressed person who literally can't even hold a conversation tends to put a strain on the relationship.
