Can someone still have BPD and have always been single?

Postby wolfgrave14 » Wed Jan 27, 2016 2:04 am

This isn't for me. I just think this one celeb stalker could be borderline and avoidant with schizoid and schizotypal traits. I'm trying to figure him out.
I have schizotypal personality disorder with antisocial and borderline features, PDD-NOS, ADHD, dysthymia, PTSD, depersonalization disorder, pica, eproctophilia and coprophilia.
I have quite a bit wrong with me..

Relationships have two different reasons to engage in.

1) Unconditional love, care, attention, etc. Issue is I become obsessed, clingy and paranoid

2) Doing stupid, risky, emotional, passionate crap together or just to fully throw yourself into something

Issue is, I only get attracted to people who have directly helped me now so no more 2 week flings of kissing and stuff and sneaking them antidepressants and telling them it's for their sleep.

Happy memories until they leave and you're empty again.

Back to your question, it's possible. Every single disorder is experienced differently by different people, you are no exception, I am no exception, my alters (here's looking at the differences between our BPD, Ari) are no exception.

Yeah, I've never been in a relationship (nor have I been living a promiscuous life). I have a strong held belief that I am undesirable and that the pains of rejection are inevitable. I get terrified when someone I like likes me back, I don't know what to do. I have oftentimes ended up fleeing from opportunities. Despite my ambivalence and avoidance, I'm quite amorous at a distance.

When I was diagnosed with BPD I had never been in a relationship. But I had experienced platonic "relationships" (friends that I had feeling for) that were devastating and painful.
