Yeah, in DBT they teach opposite action, but I'm not sure about opposite thoughts per se. I know you're supposed to use Wise Mind a lot. So if you're having an emotional reaction, say your bf isn't picking up the phone, do you run to his house and scream your brains out at him? If it doesn't fit into who you are, or who you want to be, or what you value (Wise Mind), don't do it. Instead call your bf later and take opposite action, be kind and ask if everything is ok or something like that.

I forget so much from DBT it's not even funny. :? But it goes something like that.

I think i'm quite funny. I once asked someone 'Do you ever get depressed? ' and he said 'Why do you think i'm so funny?' I became funny and it has helped so he was right. I find being funny makes it easier to get through the day. When I am making jokes, I am not thinking about my problems so it gives me a bit of relief. People are more likely to enjoy being around you as well. :)
