I've been through something like this as I've had friends and very close relatives die suddenly on me.
I'm very sorry for your loss Stacy.
I guess since you're asking us what to do all I can really think of to say is if you want a professionals help that won't just throw medication at you I think seeing a counselor might be a good idea for you and to explain the situation to him or her.
The most important thing though in the moment and I know this is hard is try to remain calm and relax.
Do not let the grief overwhelm you take everything in bits and pieces.
I wish you the best.

This happened to a friend of mine. The first little while is very hard. Try to encourage people to not medicate you too much, to let you feel. Do you have any friends or relatives you can have come over to be with you; not in-laws?
My suggestion would be to get a notebook or journal or even just use your computer, and write what you're feeling, so you can start to move through the shock and find a center in yourself. Even a couple of paragraphs. Post on here. Anything you want. Communication is good.
Remember to get enough sleep, and eat. You're under so much stress. Be gentle with yourself. It will get better.
