Lately, I have been getting quite strong anxiety where I focus on my breath and heartbeat and it starts to worry me. I start worrying that I am faking things. I know that sounds complicated and it seems like it has nothing to do with my breath and heart but somehow my mind has subconsciously pieced the two together. I have recently had my clonazepam medication increased and I feel the anxiety a lot less often but it does plague me from time to time. Does anyone else have similar experiences?

I have severe anxiety..used to have panic attacks where I thought I was about to have a heart attack and I had trouble breathing..now it's just anxiety and restlessness..which i usually drown in alcohol..I am not on any meds because my psychiatrist thinks that some of the are addictive...I am going to talk about that when i see him next time..cause I can't deal with anxiety by drinking anymore..I don't want to become an alcoholic..

Caucus: I have severe anxiety that can send me into panic attacks and just make me feel like complete crap. Definitely not alone on that one.
Rikku: I hope your able to cope better soon. I wish you luck with being able to cope better with it. One piece of advice, perhaps do something as a distraction, just take yourself away from the trigger and try to do something safe to cope. I personally play video games, read/write, things like that. Sleep is good if you're able to.
I wish you both luck, it's a difficult experience for sure.

I understand completely. There are times for sure it's unbearable. And I'm glad to hear that, keep up, you can do it!
