I'm BP and I remember having some mild hallucinations for about 20 yrs. I was diagnosed 2 yrs ago and since I was put on meds the hallucinations have stopped. They got worse the last 5 yrs and were verbal and visual. My drs weren't too worried about my verbal ones because they were out side of my head, like someone was calling for me. If they were inside telling me to do something, it would be schizophrenia.
Hallucinations can be caused by not having enough sleep, which is so common for a BP person. There are also other symptoms of being out of touch with reality in some people.
