There is one famous bipolar lady that I admire greatly that has not been mentioned---Margaret Trudeau former first lady of Canada!

What do you think about Tyra Banks? I saw recently that she is crushing on a young actor with whom I am also currently obsessed with-- due to this disease. In the interview, she said that she fears meeting this person because she fears that he will be mean to her. I have noticed that she talks rapidly, gets hurt easily, and then at times, like me, feels that she is the queen of the universe.

As awful as bipolar can be, I think it's actually quite useful for there to be famous people who have it. I actually tweeted Stephen Fry several years after my diagnosis telling him that it was watching his documentary that made me think "wait a minute... this all sounds a bit familiar". I don't know how he manages on no medication! Maybe he doesn't.

I LOVE EMILIE AUTUMN!

Just like... FYI...
Courtney Love doesn't know what she lost in an electric violin playing hottie like Emilie Autumn...
She puts on a great show.

That is so awesome.
I saw her show live here, small, small venue...
She is just amazing, loves talking to the audience...
I just wanted to pick her up and run off with her.
She loves her fans.

Read Kay Redfield Jamison's book "Touched With Fire." It is a book, written by an M.D. dx Bipolar I herself, about artists in history w/ manic-depressive temperments. It's amazing! She writes about Tolstoy, Tennyson, Hemingway, Woolfe, Plath, Van Gogh, etc.... Did you know that in one generation, Hemingway's father, brother, sister, and Hemingway himself all committed suicide? Tolstoy loved hunting, but at one point, while depressed, couldn't carry a gun b/c he knew he would kill himself. The poems and art shown in this book are so amazing; you can read one poem by Lord Byron where he is manic and can't stop talking and describing everything, but the next will be a beautiful painful depressing poem. These artists felt pain and happiness beyond the normal person. It made them who they are, and it made their work extraordinary. Anyone else read this???
