Teila Tequila is bipolar too ...as well as bi-sexual. haha But I think she may some some disassociative disorder going on too , because on her myspace she talks about her multiple personality named "Jane" that is always trying to kill her... Its's ok .. if they weren't unique they wouldn't be famous!

It has always disturbed me...that some how knowing that I not alone that I am among others who have suffered and/or are suffering the same depredations of mind as I do is supposed to make me feel better. I pity these poor people. If they have gone through and/or are going through the same kinds of depression as I go through they have my sympathy but knowing who they are or knowing that anyone else suffers as I do does not make me feel better at all.

Buzz Aldrin does not have Bipolar Disorder. He is only known to have Clinical Depression and a history of alcoholism.

Don't forget the greatest Englishman alive. Stephen Fry.
I hear what you are saying rleeq but at least we know we are not alone, not that knowing that helps at all.
Can i add Amy Winehouse to the list of 'yet-to-be-diagnosed' without being sued

i hope i am not sounding glib or offending, but how can you top walking on the moon.....especially as you know you will never top that feat for the rest of your life. Hardly surprising he crawled into the bottle.
By the way, same thing happened to Yuri Gagarin, as well as a serious sex addiction.

Apparently Isaac Newton was also Bipolar. I don't know how they know that. Maybe sitting under the tree was a sign of depression. As for the warp in the time-space continuum, I suppose that was a psychotic moment?
The amazing part is that people still believe his theory of gravity.

I'm sorry to ask this, but how many of the people are confirmed to actually have bipolar disorder & not just rumored to or have major depression instead? I have to be skeptical, because you can't believe everything you read.

It's an imperfect science, but realistically it doesn't matter if they ACTUALLY were bipolar.
The idea behind knowing famous people with mental disorders is to instill a better sense of self and confidence in non-famous people that are diagnosed.
Is "famous person" actually bipolar?
Sure, why not? If it makes me feel better about being it, then that's the important part.
