18 and got diagnosed as Bipolar II

Hey everyone. I'm 18 and a senior in high school and have been diagnosed as Bipolar II although I've been having episodes for a while now. It sucks having it, and I've been reading on it and wondering about the memory loss and cognitive ability loss. Is there anything out there to help regenerate some of the memory loss I have. I feel like I'm not as smart as I used to be and I have a hard time remembering anything I learn in class. Is there anything I can do for this?

All I can tell u is that with meds it gets better. The confusion and memory loss decreases or goes away when u come down off a manic high.

Also, keep taking ur meds even after ur symontoms go away because if u don't they will return.

antipyshcotics made me feel that way, but also pyschosis can too, thats why i fricken hate it too, i was 18 too when i was first diag. as major depression w/pyschotic features, but now, it's def. bipolar 2, same as you, and i'm twenty now, anywho, i'm on lamictal, and it's working out wonderfully for me.
