Abilify?

hi,

My wife has not told me if she has bipolar disorder but by mistake she told me that she takes Abilify and Trileptal on dialy basis.
I saw the Abilify website and I discovered it is used mainly for Schizonophenia and Bipolar disorder.

Are these drugs also used for something else too?

I don't want use any definates or absolutelys because medicine is constantly changing and drugs have multiple uses. I want to mention this because I don't know how you stand on your wife having... certain conditions.

What your wife is using Trileptal for is intriguing. Trileptal mainly used if not only used for seizures. And it isn't used alone for seizures and it isn't approved for other disease states. Bbut that doesn't mean it never happens because many seizure meds are now being used now to treat psychological disorders. But... If your wife is also on Abilify which is only used for psychological disorders. It is apporved for bipolar and acute mania in addition to your worries about schizophrenia.

Also how long have you been married? If you have known eachother for a long time and haven't noticed any sings or symptoms of any psychological disorders its a good thing. She maybe using them for another indication. More likely though it means her psychological disorder is very well under control. But don't go picking through your brain tring to find times that she "might" have been acting unusual. If you haven't noticed so far and you're married then things would appear to be fine the way you are and this should have no effect on your relationship

Abilify is an anti psychotic and the other drug is used for Bipolar and anti-seiures. Based on this combination she is probably Bipolar. Abilify is a very new med.

im on abilfy i dont no what for precisly no one tells me these things, but i sufferr from rapid cycling and hear voices. but i think its for bi polar trust your wife and try talking to her about it
