ENTP. I have a fairly logical personality. My E is sort of in the middle ground and probably flutters between E and I depending on my mood.

I would assume that the vast majority of those with bipolar are Ns and Ps.
DX: Bipolar II.

I am INFP

A healer I believe :D

Tho I agree if I took the test when manic (not that I could concentrate long enough to lol) then I think it would be very different

Hello there, I'm ESTP. I always come out with that on any test I take, even on the internet.

From what I can tell, it seems rather accurate with my diagnosis. Energetic, logical, impulsive and articulate/strong communication skills are me in a nutshell.

I really have next to no love for planning things out. It seems like planning just irks me and waste time when my mind can calculate ahead of pace and work on the fly. Also, feelings seem like they are just overrated to me, which often drives my therapist nuts. I don't really think about how I feel very often and that is her favorite question. "So how are you feeling today, zephyr?" "Well, to be honest with you I wasn't feeling anything and was doing good until you asked me to consider it." Insert obligatory roll of her eyes.

I don't mean to sound like an impulsive twit, especially to her because she is so nice but I can't help being honest. So I think it fits me.

INFP - "The Idealist".

http://www.personalitypage.com/INFP.html

Its quite funny reading it from a BPD perspective: "In the face of their value system being threatened, INFPs can become aggressive defenders, fighting passionately for their cause"- for me this can be to the extreme!

I agree. There were some statements I would like to have agreed with but I had more in common as a whole with the other.

I'm INFP too. Doesn't make us sound so bad, does it?!

I am apparently an ENFJ.
I was under the impression that since I am bipolar I'd probably be ENFP, but I guess I don't like perceiving things as they happen. I'm sure this could change easily depending on my mood. I can tell you a couple days ago I'd probably would have been an INFP. I was wanting the world to just keep going whether I participated in it or not. If it weren't for my medication I think I would be in a much different place emotionally right now. I hope I become more extroverted in the coming days and weeks. I really need to shine at work so they want to keep me.

Thanks to everyone for sharing :)

Your opinions about Myers-Briggs are really interesting. A lot of people said their type varied with their mood, which is not surprising I guess, but interesting. I'd never thought of that as a way to understand the way my choices and beliefs vary with my mood.

Zyphr - I can totally understand where you are coming from. Even though I've had good luck with types it is really not fair to box people into types, and a therapist especially should know better.

Shout out to the INFPs. You guys are awesome. And to the other ENTP types it is nice to have company :)

I think types are an interesting way of understanding people. I'm also just fascinated by other people's view points of the world, and Myers Briggs types are an interesting concept to entertain.

I am not the most perceptive person, and thinking about types helps me understand people that are different than I am (or understand that people are significantly different than I am. My sister and I were able to use types to understand each other and it did improve our relationship. We are all opposite letters - I'm an ENTP/J and she is an ISFP/J. It's funny how the P/J is kind of undefined for both of us. She is really introverted, and I took her silence personally, and she was offended by thoughts that she thought meant something when I was really just thinking out loud. It seems cheesy but was a good starting point.

I find that the introverted/extroverted trait is the one that seems to play out the most. If someone is introverted, then you know you can't expect them to be very outgoing or to respond well to you being aggressive. So I agree, you can't just box everyone into being one way.

Every time I share something about my therapist I get the distinct feeling from reactions that she is probably as crazy as I am

I just had a silly thought - imagine if we all had little badges with our type on and we walked around wearing them so we could identify who were our people
