Is It Bipolar Or ADHD SOME ONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been in a uphill battle for more than 4 years now on finding out what is wrong with me. I am starting to get very frustrated and impatient. Eversince I have been a young child, I have not done well at all in school I have all the potential that any other average student has, I just lack the ambition. I have always been a high strung person and have have trouble focusing in classes and paying attention. I have been on many drugs with many many side effects. Zoloft, Celexa, Paxil, Paxil XR, Effexor, Lithium, Depakote, Zyprexa and now I am trying Metadate CD for ADHD. I Graduated high school in 2001 and I am now 21, I have tried college classes in the Fall of 2001, Spring Of 2001 Summer Of 2002, Fall Of 2003 (failed everything but my psychology classes)and now i am going back full time and working full time. My inattention and lack of focus has affected me at work, school and my personal life for far too long. However I do not know it it is ADHD or Acute Bipolar Disorder. I have always like I said had an inattention and hyperactivity problem, however I have had childhood problems that may have brought about Acute Bipolar disorder. I have had problems with extreme spending and what i feel may be manic spells. I have had such an extensive overspending problem it has caused me several legal issues. (writing bad checks, reporting credit cards stolen) EVERY MEDICATION I HAVE BEEN ON HAS EITHER NOT WORKED OR HAD BAD UNWANTED SIDEEFFECTS!! PLEASE HELP!!
