i'll vouch for this. i had a girlfirend for 2 years and we had bad problems, but we could also relate to each other so well. it wasn't until after we split that we were both recently diagnosed with bipolar

I always wondered about this. I have bipolar disorder and so do three of my best friends. All the people I admire tend to be bipolar as well.

so do bipolar relationships work well or not?

my partner is bipolar, and i suspect i may be as well (am currently undergoing assessment for this)...

so can it work?? or is it a disaster just waiting to happen????

My pshychiatrist told me straight not to go into a relationship with someone who also has BP. But I guess if you're already in a relationship with one, and you both know what is going on, why not give it a go I say?
